The Battle Arms Development Ambidextrous Billet Receiver Set is precision cut from high strength billet 7075-T6 Aerospace aluminum with an exceptionally lightweight design. The set includes our BAD556-Ambi Lower and BAD556-LW-UR Upper Receiver. We removed excess material but kept the material where it was needed to maintain the rigidity of the receiver. That gave us the most rigid and lightweight receivers on the market, other companies make lightweight receivers by cutting out material but they don't maintain their rigidity. The magazine well has been cut, flared and beveled to reduce weight and assist the shooter with reloading, it makes this receiver perfect for competition, home defense, hunting, and law enforcement use. All the sharp edges have been de-burred by hand for a perfectly smooth finish. It has a left hand magazine release and right side bolt release. The lower is fully compatible with MIL-SPEC components as well as the Battle Arms Development line of ambidextrous standard and short throw safeties. Featuring an integral enhanced trigger guard and a set screw bolt catch typically only found on large frame receivers (set screw included). It also has a captured takedown pin detent spring (includes set screw) and a upper/lower receiver tension screw. The overall weight of the set is 13.76oz making it one of the lightest weight receiver sets on the market without losing any durability.
