Faxon uses the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless, and each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. Exactly what I was looking for.
Flawless fit and finish, light, quick handling and very accurate at moderate firing rates. As one would expect, it heats up quickly being a pencil profile, and groups do shift at higher rates of fire.

Lightweight and well made
If you are looking at this barrel, you probably know what it is and why you want to buy it. It is 100% worth the money, especially at this price. This barrel was purchased for my wife's rifle, and now I want one for my rifle. The barrel is surprising lightweight, especially coming from the ubiquitous government profile. The finish is excellent, and her rifle points fast and easy. So far, only one range session with 90 rounds of Tula, 150 rounds of Federal XM193, and 525 rounds of 22lr put down the barrel. No problems, and I don't expect there to be any. Aerospace Arms processed my order same day, and shipped the next. I had the barrel in my hand two days later. I could not be happier with their service and I would recommend buying from them.

VERY LIGHT!
I have not finished building so I can't speak to the accuracy of this barrel, but the fit, finish, packaging, and delivery time is incredible with this. Delivery was fast (2 days from when I ordered it). It came in a sturdy tube with plenty of padding. It fits my upper incredibly tightly and holds straight even without the barrel nut on yet. The Nitride is a nice deep black completely devoid of blemish or whirl. I'm looking forward to finishing this build and testing the performance of this barrel.
